SAPD: Man in critical condition after being shot by his girlfriend

Police say the girlfriend fled from the scene and was eventually taken into custody near Interstate 10.
SAN ANTONIO — A man was shot by his girlfriend during an argument on the east side of town and was taken to hospital.
It happened around 7:15 a.m. in the 700 block of Gabriel near North Walters Street and Grimes Street.
Officers arrived to find the victim, a man in his 30s, with a gunshot wound to his chest. He was taken to BAMC in critical condition.
Police say the girlfriend fled from the scene and was eventually taken into custody near Interstate 10. Officers say a semiautomatic weapon was used and police collected it for evidence.
